We are the only strategic communications firm devoted exclusively to climate progress. We combine deep knowledge of climate science and climate tech with communications excellence to deliver for our clients.

In 2021, Redwood CEO and 12-year climate tech comms leader Josh Garrett joined forces with the founders of tech PR firm SBS Comms, Dave Donohue and John O'Brien, to form Redwood Climate Communications. Determined to act against the climate crisis and inspired by promising solutions, the founders built the first strategic communications firm that exclusively supports climate tech, climate nonprofit, and sustainability clients.

As partner agencies, Redwood and SBS share staff and information to maximize the effectiveness and efficiency of work for their clients. With clients like Google, American Express, GitHub, Air Company and Relativity Space, SBS brings extensive knowledge of and connections in the tech and business sectors to Redwood, as well as the full infrastructure and resources of an established and growing PR firm.

Since its founding, Redwood has steadily grown its team and client roster, working with companies and organizations from every corner of climate tech. We’ve developed corporate and product messaging for young companies, earned media coverage of investment rounds ranging from $8 million to $198 million, secured television, radio, and web video appearances, and landed high-value speaking opportunities for clients.
